(NEW COLUMBIA) - Thermal Product Solutions (TPS), an SPX division within the Industrial Products and Services segment, recently received the Large Business of the Year award from the Manufacturer’s Association of Central Pennsylvania (MACP).
Applicants for the MACP Business of the Year award are judged on their products, processes, innovation, expansion, progressiveness and community involvement. TPS products are used around the world in the manufacture of everything from automobiles to aircraft and consumer electronics to pharmaceuticals and everything in between.
“We were honored to receive this recognition that TPS has emerged as a global leader in the design and manufacture of industrial ovens, environmental simulation, heat treating, photovoltaic and pharmaceutical equipment,” said TPS General Manager Gary Carpenter.
“We are focused on providing solutions that support the expansion of global infrastructure, with particular emphasis on the growing worldwide demand for energy and power,” Carpenter said. “The innovative equipment we manufacture is an important part of the future of photovoltaic (solar cell) and fuel cell technologies, but those are only two of the hundreds of markets we serve.”
In the area of community involvement, TPS and its employees regularly contribute to charities, including the United Way, Toys for Tots and Janet Weis Children’s hospital.
MACP is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping its members become more productive, efficient and profitable by providing services that emphasize the value and importance of sound relationships between employers and employees.
