HYEN Endothermic Generator

Lindberg HYEN® Endothermic Generators are atmosphere generators available in electric-powered or gas-fired models. Reaction gas (natural gas) and air are mixed and fed through a catalyst-filled retort and heated to a temperature of 1900–2000°F by the generator. As the mixture is heated, a series of chemical reactions takes place that result in endothermic gas being produced. The major components of the gas are hydrogen, nitrogen, and carbon monoxide. The exact composition of the gas is determined by the dewpoint at which the generator is run.

Features

  • Fully automatic turndown to 50% of rated output
  • Digital, microprocessor-based control instrumentation
  • Lightweight Moldatherm insulation
