Crucible Furnace Features

• Single-ended silicon carbide heating elements are positioned vertically around the outer diameter of the chamber.
• Insulated vestibule at the top of the heated chamber aids in uniformity
• High-temperature graded insulation combined with tight-fitting insulating vestibule plug
• Platinum/Platinum 13% rhodium thermocouple lead wire and plug
• Self-tuning temperature controller
• Front panel configuration of thermocouple input, instrument temperature range and other control parameters
• Delivers precise repeatable temperature control required for today's high-temperature processes
• Automatically sets the PID values for your thermal process

• Programmable control (Option P) offers flexibility of ramping to multiple setpoint levels and holding for variable time periods at those levels.
  
• Excess temperature protection (Option B) provides positive protection of both furnace and load in the event of failure in the primary control circuit. Completely redundant circuit includes separate analog setting instrument with manual reset pushbutton, magnetic contactor and independent thermocouple.
  
• Digital communication kits allow modification and interrogation of all instrument control and configuration parameters from a remote computer. Kits are available to interface with RS-232 or RS-422/485 communication ports. 
• Programmer controller (Option P4) provides four 16-segment programs of ramps (up or down) and dwells (timed holds).
