TPS – 2017 Year in Review

As the year comes to a close we would like to highlight a few of our business accomplishments and community involvement of 2017. Our Thermal Product Solutions (TPS) family is pleased to say that 2017 has been a successful year for all our brands. TPS as a whole has enjoyed tremendous growth this year, both as a global manufacturer of thermal-processing equipment and as a leader in our local communities.

PA Manufacturing Shows Impressive Growth in 2017

While all TPS brands showed growth in 2017, we would like to highlight the TPS brands, Gruenberg, Tenney, and custom Blue M which are manufactured at the White Deer, PA facility. The manufacturing of the standard line of Blue M equipment was moved to Wisconsin Oven in East Troy, WI in a strategic move to provide additional facility space to accommodate the growth of the other brands.

The custom line of Blue M units manufactured in White Deer, PA have benefited from the additional space that the standard move created. 2017 was a strong year for custom Blue M shipments to industries such as laboratory, medical, pharmaceutical, R&D, education, ceramics, and electronics to name a few.

Gruenberg Oven, a division of TPS, exhibited growth in the pharmaceutical, medical, and lab animal science industries in 2017. Sales of pharmaceutical sterilizers and granulation dryers used for drug manufacturing to the pharmaceutical industry along with the Gruenberg SteriDry™ dry heat sterilizer for the lab animal science industry have seen year over year growth.

Tenney/Lunaire Environmental had a record year in sales and shipments of their comprehensive line of custom and standard environmental testing chambers and rooms. The Tenney/Lunaire products were shipped to customers in the electronics, automotive, aerospace, and lab/research industries. They have also seen significant growth in the space industry with their custom space chambers that simulate the environments of space.

TPS Employees Give Back to the Community

Our employees in PA continued to play an active role in the community in 2017. In March, TPS employees participated in a team building event to raise money for the American Cancer Society. Donations to the organization fund lifesaving cancer research, treatment and care. Employees also gave donations to the local United Way which promotes health, education, and financial stability of people in every community. We’re also to report that this holiday season two groups of TPS employees volunteered at the local Toys for Tots warehouse to help sort toys. We also collected new and unused toys for Toys for Tots.

Every member of the Thermal Product Solutions family would like to extend our sincere thanks to our customers, business partners, and surrounding community that have helped make our 2017 an exceptional year. Wishing you happiness, health and success in 2018!
